On June 6th, we were entertained by Ms. Ai Nakasone, our Youth Exchange student. One of our Rotarians then hosted a 'going away party' for her on the 8th at her new home. Ai reports that the year has gone well but she will be happy to return to her family in Japan. Thank you for a great year Ai.
As y'all read this newsletter, we will be working with the two other clubs in State College to prepare and serve dinner to the participants in the Bicycles Pedaling out Polio event as they travel to, and subsequently through, State College on the 21st. A large contingent of Rotarians is anticipated to return to Tudek Park on the 22nd for their breakfast and send-off. On June 27th, our Sunrise Club's new President, Lam Hood, a long-time Rotarian, is to be inducted by Mr. Roger Fetter, Assistant District Governor. We are anticipating a great new year.
