March 12, 2015 – Meeting Roundup – Steve French
March 9, 2015

Civil War buffs know that Martinsburg is right in the heart of the eastern battles. Antietam, Gettysburg, and Manassas, just to name a few battles, are within an easy drive. Belle Boyd, a famous spy, was a Martinsburg native. A church I once attended in Bunker Hill was used as a hospital and had graffiti written by soldiers from both sides on the walls. This week we are going to hear from Steve French, a civil war historian, who has recently published his third book on Civil War action in the eastern panhandle and surrounding region.
