Programs

Last week: Buzz Poland introduced Mark Letenzi from the developers of the Shenandoah Hotel. Our club met weekly at the Shenandoah for about 50 years. There are 38 apartments in the upper floors and mixed use retail and office space on the main floor. They are hoping to attract a restaurant as well. The project is valued at $7.5 million.

Club Announcements

  • There will be a 4-Way Test Speech Contest as we have a few contestants.
  • Chris Johnson has provided envelopes on the lunch tables for people to easily make their Rotary Foundation contributions.
  • The golf tournament is scheduled for May 19 at The Woods. Individuals are welcome to sponsor as well as businesses. This will help to fund our scholarships to Interact and Rotaract students.

Student Guests – Spring Mills High School attended with Fran Inman, Interact Advisor.

  • Mattison Werry, senior, choreographs the show choir and is a dance instructor at a dance studio. Will attend college at Shepherd or Fairmont to become a nurse.
  • Lucas Driver, senior, swims on the swim team and plays the drums in band, and wants to become an attorney.

50/50

  • John Overington sold tickets. It’s a pretty new deck of cards and a small pot. Sandy Hamilton had the winning ticket but did not draw the winning card.
